Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Essential Mobility serves customers with mobility needs every day. Accessibility is core to who we are, both in the equipment we install and in how we communicate online. We aim to make this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, voice control, and other assistive technology.
Conformance target
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG is the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
What we've built into the site
- Semantic HTML structure — pages use proper headings, lists, and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them efficiently.
- Descriptive alt text — meaningful images carry text descriptions; decorative images are marked appropriately.
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive element on the site can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone.
- Visible focus indicators — the current focus location is always visible while tabbing through the page.
- Skip-to-main-content link — keyboard users can jump past the navigation to reach the main content.
- Color contrast — body text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
- Form labels and errors — each form field has a visible label and field-level error messages with appropriate ARIA attributes.
- Reduced motion respect — animations are paused or simplified when your operating system has the "reduce motion" preference enabled.
- Resizable text — text remains readable when you zoom up to 200% in your browser.
Browser and assistive technology compatibility
This site is designed and tested to work with current versions of:
- Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge
- Common screen readers including VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), NVDA, and JAWS
- iOS and Android mobile browsers
Older browsers may render the site differently but core information and the contact phone number remain reachable.
Known limitations
We work to keep this site accessible, but we are a small business and you may still encounter issues. Areas we are actively reviewing:
- Some legacy product photos may have generic alt text — we are updating them as we audit each page.
- Third-party services we embed (Google Analytics, the contact-form provider) follow their own accessibility patterns, which we do not directly control.
Tell us if something doesn't work
If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, or you can't reach the information you need, please tell us — we will help you directly and fix what's broken.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and to resolve issues as quickly as we can. If a website page blocks you from getting information, we are also happy to share that information by phone or in person — that channel is always open.
Ongoing review
We review the site for accessibility periodically and after meaningful redesigns. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent audit.
